Glitch effects: change one setting at a time
Start with a small RGB-channel offset, then compare scanlines and block distortion. Changing one setting makes its effect easier to identify.
If text or faces matter, check that the treatment has not hidden them.

Pixel conversion: check the silhouette
Increase block size gradually and see whether the main shape remains recognisable. A portrait and a landscape may need different settings.
A pixel effect does not finish a game sprite: silhouette, palette, transparency and animation frames may still need work.
🔗 Open Pixel Art Converter
Increase block size gradually and see whether the main shape remains recognisable.

Symmetry drawing: start with short strokes
Choose a few symmetry axes and draw short lines to see how they repeat. Then adjust axis count, line width and colour.
For a background pattern, compare light and dark backgrounds and inspect the export at its intended size.
🔗 Open Symmetry Painter
Choose a few symmetry axes and draw short lines to see how they repeat.
