Color Blindness Test

Take this professional online color blindness test based on dynamic Ishihara plates. Assess your red-green color vision deficiency quickly. Challenge yourself with our timed survival mode starting with 15 seconds.

Ishihara Survival Challenge

This tool is based on the classic Ishihara Test principles, combined with a modern interactive experience to quickly assess your Red-Green Color Vision.

โš™๏ธ Core Principles

1. Pseudo-Isochromatic Plates

  • Confusion Matrix: The test charts consist of dots of different sizes, colors, and brightness.
  • Vision Interference: For those with normal vision, the dots form clear numbers through hue differences. Those with deficiencies may miss the numbers or see different ones due to lack of sensitivity to specific spectrums (red/green).
  • Dynamic Generation: Unlike static images, this tool uses Canvas dynamic rendering. Dot positions and distributions are randomized every time to prevent memorization.

๐ŸŽฎ Rules (15s Survival Mode)

This is a high-pressure test of both vision and reaction speed.

  • Time Limit: Starts with 15 seconds.
  • Rewards: Each correct answer adds +1s!
  • Penalty: Each wrong answer deducts -3s! Don't click blindly.
  • Dynamic Difficulty: As you progress, color contrast decreases and interference increases.

๐Ÿ“Š Interpretation

  • Normal Vision: Can accurately identify most or all numbers.
  • Protan (Red-blind/weak): Difficulty distinguishing red from dark green.
  • Deutan (Green-blind/weak): Most common; difficulty distinguishing green from red/purple.
  • Tritan (Blue-blind): Extremely rare; difficulty with blue and yellow hues.

๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Hardware Advice

  1. Disable Eye-Care Mode: Turn off "Night Light" or blue light filters.
  2. Adjust Brightness: Set your monitor to a medium or high brightness level.
  3. Distance: Stay approximately 50-70 cm away from the screen.
