How to use Dead Pixel Test?
- Basic Test: Click "Start Test" to enter full screen. Click anywhere or use Arrow keys to cycle through preset colors (Black, White, Red, Green, Blue).
- Advanced: Custom Colors:
- Need more colors? Click the "+" button at the bottom.
- You can pick or input any HEX color code (e.g.,
#808080for 50% gray). - Your custom colors are automatically saved.
- Exclusive: Share Config:
- Configured a specific set of testing colors? Click the Share button.
- The system generates a unique link containing your color setup.
- Send it to friends/clients, and they can test with your exact color palette.
- What to look for:
- Dead Pixel: A black dot on a white background.
- Stuck Pixel: A colored dot (red/green/blue) on a black background.
- Backlight Bleeding: Light leaking from the edges on a black background.
- Exit: Press ESC to exit full screen.
Why Custom Colors?
Standard primary colors find most defects, but for professional calibration or specific panel types (like OLED burn-in checks), you might need specific gray levels or secondary colors. This tool lets you add and save them.
